After a BC/DR test we decided to investigate expanding our usage of our backup email mechanism. During the investigation it became clear we could reduce our hard monthly costs for email by 90%, gain new functionality, improve security and productivity, and reduce the effort needed to support servers and clients. It might not be the right decision for every organization but it was the right one for us.
For the first time since 1996, I have no Notes email.
Perhaps the easiest decision I’ve ever made. Sad about it though. Cue Barber’s “Adagio for Strings.”
